Sophie Jones is used to having the spotlight on the national stage. Ranked as the second best player in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer, and regarded as a five-star prospect, Jones had many successes prior to her collegiate career. Her senior year of high school, she led her team to a 20-2-2 record while recording 18 goals and 16 assists. Throughout her early years, she was a consistent part of the U.S. Women’s National Team system where, in 2018, she helped the team capture the CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship.

During her four seasons with the Duke University Blue Devils, Jones started in all 75 career games tallying five goals and eight assists with 5,945 minutes recorded on the pitch. With 20 nominations to different awards and teams, as well as experience in the NWSL with the Chicago Red Stars, Jones will fit right into the competitive nature of Sporting JAX, and help put the team on the map.
