

Mark Warburton

Warburton is a high-profile leader with a distinguished career in global soccer. Most recently, he played a pivotal role in guiding West Ham United to victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2023 with a historic 2-1 victory over Italian club Fiorentina. His extensive professional experience includes managing and working at several prestigious clubs in the UK, including Nottingham Forest FC, Brentford FC, Queens Park Rangers FC and Glasgow Rangers FC.
Steve Fell
Head of Sports Performance
Since 2022, Fell has served as a Performance Coach for the Senior U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT), supporting elite athletes for top international competitions, including the FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022 and U.S. 2026), CONCACAF Nations League, Gold Cup and CONMEBOL Copa America. Fell’s experience spans over 200 professional matches in MLS and the USMT, bringing unmatched experience and insight to exceptional player development.
Stacey Balaam
Head Coach, Gainbridge Super League
Balaam, an up-and-coming coaching talent, brings a recent track record of success and player development to Sporting JAX. Most recently, she served as the associate head coach at Vanderbilt University, helping to lead the NCAA Top 20 program to historic achievements since 2023. Sporting JAX technical consultant and coaching legend in women’s soccer at the University of Florida, Becky Burleigh, also assisted in the search.
Alan Kirkup
Associate Head Coach, Gainbridge Super League
Kirkup brings over three decades of elite-level experience as both a player and coach, including a standout playing career with Manchester United from 1972-76, along with a decorated coaching tenure in NCAA and NWSL circles. He served under legendary head coach and current Sporting JAX technical consultant Becky Burleigh at the University of Florida and Orlando Pride. Most recently, Kirkup led at Lexington SC as the technical director of girl’s youth soccer and USL W League head coach.
Mat Cosgriff
Goalkeeper Coach, Gainbridge Super League
Cosgriff brings more than 20 years of collegiate coaching experience to Sporting JAX, having most recently served 11 seasons as associate head coach and goalkeeper coach for the Southern Methodist University (SMU) women’s soccer program. His resume also includes coaching positions at Washington State University, the University of South Carolina, and his alma mater, the University of Maine.
