Olivares recalled from loan by MLS parent club

Sporting Club Jacksonville announced today that goalkeeper Christian Olivares has been recalled from loan by St. Louis CITY SC of Major League Soccer, pending league and federation approval.

Olivares, 24, started 15 USL Championship matches for Sporting JAX this season. In those appearances, the Washington native recorded 60 saves, the sixth-most in the league. This included starting in net for the club’s first-ever USL Championship match in March, cementing his place in Sporting JAX history.

Sporting JAX thanks Olivares for his time and efforts with the club in its inaugural season, and wishes him the best as he continues his career.
