Sporting JAX defender set to return to international duty next month
Sporting Club Jacksonville today announced that defender Georgia Brown has been called up to the Scotland Women’s Senior National Team for FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification playoff matches in October.
Brown will join the squad for qualification matches against Czechia on Friday, October 9 and Tuesday, October 13.
The second-year professional has made four starts this season, playing the entirety of each appearance. Early in the Gainbridge Super League 2026 Fall Season, Brown has recorded 22 clearances, 5 interceptions and 2 blocks, along with an 85.6% passing success rate.
Brown made headlines last season as a rookie, being named to the Gainbridge Super League All-League Second Team. She also received national team honors during the 2025/26 season, earning her first call-up to Scotland’s senior team in October 2025. Brown appeared in friendlies against Switzerland and Ukraine, later making her first start against China PR.
