Fernandez entered the season with a local connection, having played her college ball just down the road at Flagler College. Throughout her debut season, the Spaniard made 18 appearances and scored to seal the deal in a December 2025 win over in-state rival Tampa Bay Sun FC. Additionally, she scored the winner in an exhibition friendly against KC Current II in September 2025.
Prior to Sporting JAX, saying Fernandez’s time at Flagler was fruitful would be an understatement. This era was highlighted by 75 goals and 45 assists, leading all of NCAA Division II with 1.22 goals per match in her senior season.
