Puerta quickly established herself as a star of the Gainbridge Super League in the 2025/26 season, being named Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Golden Playmaker. This was well deserved following 12 goals and seven assists in her first season playing professionally. This was highlighted by a hat trick–the first in Sporting JAX history–against Carolina Ascent FC in September 2025.
Prior to Sporting JAX, Puerta played collegiately at powerhouse Florida State University. She also represents the United States in international play, having starred for the U-19 and U-20 national teams.
