Gerstenberg started five matches in the 2025/26 season, making 18 saves. Perhaps the most important of these appearances came in May 2026 when she stepped up to shut out DC Power FC as Sporting JAX pushed towards their first-ever playoff campaign.
Prior to Sporting JAX, Gerstenberg logged nearly 6,000 minutes while recording 30 clean sheets and a 0.81 goals against average. This level of performance helped earn the 2023 Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year award.
