Adonijah Reid, the 26-year-old Canadian-born forward, is bringing some power and speed to the Sporting JAX front line. After graduating from the ANB Futbol Academy, Reid went on to score 20 goals during his first season as a semi-pro with League1 Ontario at just 15-years-old. His accomplishments during that season resulted in being awarded the league’s Young Player of the Year award, and gave him the opportunity to trial with OGC Nice in France.

In 2017, Reid was selected as one of Major League Soccer’s Generation Adidas Canada stars ahead of the Super Draft. He was selected in the second round by FC Dallas, and went on to play for teams such as Ottawa Fury, FC Miami, and Nine Stripes, with national experience on the U-16, U-18, and U-20 Canadian squads. Reid’s experience and play making capabilities are ready to be utilized in this Sporting JAX inaugural season.
