A young netminder joins the Sporting JAX squad in the form of Washington native, Christian Olivares. With a successful career at Salt Lake Community College, Olivares played with St. Louis City II during the 2023 season where he started eight of their first 12 matches, registering a 3-3-2 mark with two penalty kick wins and a clean sheet. After being injured for a 10 game stint, Olivares came back to help push St. Louis City into the playoffs after two wins and a draw.

Having been with the St. Louis City first team for the last three seasons, he has racked up an impressive 45 appearances with 39 starts, 11 clean sheets, and was named as a 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Year finalist. With Olivares in front of the net, Sporting JAX can expect security, and a player who can grow with the club.
