Before taking on the collegiate pitch, Daviana Vaka was making waves in the high school and club setting. As a captain and four-year starter at Juan Diego Catholic Highschool, Vaka became the 2016 Top Goal Scorer in Utah as well as a ECNL Player to Watch from 2015-2017.
Vaka’s collegiate career started at Brigham Young University where she played during the 2020-2022 season before bringing her talents to the University of Florida. Earning her nickname of the “Swamp Queen”, Vaka brought a career high 1,476 minutes on the pitch, while starting in all 17 games played. She has two career assists on 15 shots and acts as a defensive shield for the Gators. Sporting JAX plans to use her natural speed and defensive technique to build a wall in the backfield.
