With over 6,600 minutes played in her collegiate career, midfielder Sophia Boman is no stranger to hard work. At Edina High School in Minnesota, Boman was a four-year letter winner, two-year captain, and stacked up an impressive amount of awards to multiple academic and all-conference teams. 

During her career at the University of Minnesota, Boman has started and played in 74 games with a total of 23 goals and 12 assists. Her collegiate career success led to 29 different selections to awards and team captaincy in her 2023 and 2024 season. Some of her namings included the All-Big Ten Second Team in 2022, All Big-Ten Third Team in 2023, and the All-Big Ten First Team and NCAA Division I Women’s All-North Region Second Team in 2024. With Boman at center field, Sporting JAX will have a solid wall in the middle.
